Nate and Maam Beckman Nate is a second generation Baptist-Mid Missions missionary. Maam is a Thai who got saved through the ministry of a Filipino PABWE missionary family. The Beckmans were married in 2000 and have been back in Thailand as full-time missionaries since 2003. They spent the first year and a half in Bangkok while Nate studied the language. In March 2005, they moved to Kabinburi to serve in the ministry there during our furlough. Now with their two children, Ryann and Hudson, they are back in the US for their furlough.

Jenni Starkey is from Indianapolis. She grew up in a Christian home and got saved at a young age. She dedicated her life to the Lord for missions when she was a teenager. Jenni and Ed became friends at Piedmont Baptist College and served together through "Conquerors in Missions." They also attended the same church while in college. When Ed married Darlene, she and Jenni became bestfriends right away and shared the same interest in music. Jenni knew God called her to be a missionary but didn't know where God wanted her to serve. She visited three other countries but didn't feel led there. She visited us in Thailand in October 2001 for the purpose of finding a teaching job; but God had other plans for her. During that visit, God showed her that Thailand was her place of ministry. Jenni has raised her prayer and financial support to go back to Thailand. She arrives Thailand in September 2007. Her plans are to serve alongside us in Kabinburi while learning Thai language and culture until the Scotts are ready to come and assist us after their language studies.
